The Opportunity

The Head of Digital Business Solutions provides strategic leadership for the University's business applications, digital platforms and enterprise solutions, ensuring technology enables effective teaching, learning, research, administration and decision-making across USP's regional network. The role is accountable for aligning digital solutions with institutional priorities and delivering secure, integrated and sustainable systems that improve operational effectiveness and stakeholder experience.

Specific Duties

Head of Digital Business Solutions is responsible for the:

  • Strategic direction, governance, delivery and continuous improvement of USP's portfolio of enterprise applications and digital platforms, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Learning Management Systems (LMS), business intelligence and data platforms, web and custom-developed applications and related integration services.
  • Translates institutional priorities into digital capabilities that support the University's core functions of teaching, learning, research, student administration, human resources, finance and operational services across a geographically dispersed, multi-campus environment.
  • Operating at a strategic and enterprise-wide level, the incumbent provides leadership for application architecture, systems integration, software development, business analysis, digital learning technologies and data and analytics capabilities.
  • Ensures that technology investments deliver measurable business value, improve service delivery, support evidence-based decision-making and maintain alignment with institutional goals, governance requirements, cybersecurity standards and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Serves as the primary link between institutional stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that business requirements are translated into practical and sustainable digital solutions. The incumbent leads multidisciplinary teams, manages complex vendor and partner relationships and oversees the delivery of digital transformation initiatives that enhance the student and staff experience while maintaining the reliability and performance of mission-critical systems.
  • Operates in a complex and fast-changing environment characterized by competing operational and transformation priorities, high dependence on enterprise systems, diverse stakeholder needs and the ongoing management of both legacy and modern technology platforms. The incumbent is accountable for balancing innovation and continuous improvement with operational stability, risk management and service excellence across the University.

The Person we Seek

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • An undergraduate degree and a postgraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline and 10 years of relevant management experience.
  • Proven expertise in the management of significant human and material resources, experience in the management of people and operations requiring execution of multiple complex tasks while responding to multiple priorities;

Desirable

  • Masters’ qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline and 10 years of relevant management experience.

The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.

Salary Range

  • FJD 130,692.29 to FJD 160,103.66 per annum.
