Position Number/Title: LFS038-Academic Coordinator
The Opportunity
The purpose of this position is to coordinate the Preliminary and Foundation Accounting courses offered under the College of Foundation Studies. The Coordinator is responsible for the planning, preparation, and delivery of Accounting courses across all USP campuses. This includes overseeing teaching staff, coordinating operational requirements and resources, and ensuring the quality, consistency, and effective delivery of the courses within the programmes.
Pacific TAFE offers skills-based qualifications, Foundation and Preliminary Studies, as well as short-term training programmes at USP. The Coordinator, Accounting will be responsible for overseeing all Preliminary and Foundation Language courses, including the ongoing review and revision of course content to ensure its relevance and alignment with programme requirements.
A key responsibility of the role will be to deliver high-quality teaching and develop authentic, relevant assessments, including appropriate marking rubrics, to support the achievement of both course and programme learning outcomes. The role will also provide academic leadership and guidance to the teaching team, fostering consistency, quality, and continuous improvement in teaching and assessment practices.
The Coordinator will work closely with the Head of College to support the effective implementation of the College Annual Plan and the Pacific TAFE Strategic Plan. The Coordinator will have overall responsibility for coordinating and overseeing activities within the College and will be accountable to the Director through the Head of College.
The Person we Seek
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A degree and postgraduate qualifications in Accounting or relevant discipline; with
- Four (4) years of relevant experience and management expertise; and
- More that 4 years teaching experience in a multimodal learning institution;
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills directly relevant to Accounting;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proven ICT skills and experience;
- Very good oral and written English language skills
- Work experience in distance and flexible learning
- Must be a citizen of one of the member countries of the university
- Team player

Salary Range
- $61,049 to $78,914 per annum
