The Opportunity

The incumbent will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing inventory and to manage campus store warehouse inventory, load and unload items from delivery trucks, move merchandise to appropriate storage area, prepare outgoing shipment and to ensure that orders are complete and not damaged. Additionally, the warehouse assistant responsible for writing reports about the shipments and inventory levels, putting barcode labels on goods and shelves, maintaining the storage area, report on depleting inventories, invoicing packing, of orders for USP department as well as numerous external customers and assist in monthly/Bi-annually and annual stock-takes. The warehouse assistant is also expected to deliver outgoing goods to USP Department and other customers and pick up orders. In conjunction with the Inventory controller the warehouse assistant performs a arrange of data entry duties which are key to the successful operation of the computerized inventory control system. There is considerable lifting and physical work involved. Will be required to attend to delegated duties, including weekends or evenings to support retail opening hours and marketing events

The Person we Seek

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • Completion of a relevant certificate; or
  • Completion of Year 12 secondary school studies with relevant work experience; or
  • Relevant experience or combination of relevant experience and education/training
  • 3 years’ work experience in warehouse environment and inventory management
  • Ability to perform physical work.
  • Experience and competency in MS Word and MS Excel 
  • Full valid Group 2 Driving license

The position is available for a term of 3 years and may be renewed by mutual agreement

Salary Range

FJ$12,334.99 to FJ$20,672.61 per annum
