The Opportunity
The appointee is expected to lead the development of all processes in the delivery of the Accounting programme. Apart from facilitating courses, the person will be required to prepare course content including assessments, compiling results, update MOODLE Shells, marketing, course delivery and session plans, marking assessments, handle student queries and adherence to quality requirements.
The appointee will also work with the team to plan, deliver and administer all courses as scheduled per semester.
The appointee is further expected to liaise with industry representatives and facilitate students’ Workplace Attachment (WA) training.
The Person we Seek
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- Completed four years of tertiary study, including at the Postgraduate qualifications in Accounting or Commence and/or have equivalent qualifications with teaching experiences and/or professional experience in the Accounting sector;
- Preference will be given to candidates with tertiary teaching or training qualifications and experience in skills training delivery and assessment;
- Candidates with professional membership as Associate Accountant or Chartered Accountant will have an added advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Be a collaborative team player with a positive and professional attitude;
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning;
- Knowledge of competency-based approaches to training and assessment;
- Regional and/ or international work experience; and
- Citizen of USP Member Country.

The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
Salary Range
- FJ $34,546.25 to FJ $ 40,858.60 per annum
