Position Number/Title - LPO021: Graduate Programmer
The Opportunity
The University of the South Pacific (USP) is seeking a Graduate Programmer to join the Planning and Quality Office (PQO), Laucala Campus. The Graduate Programmer plays a key role in supporting the university’s strategic decision-making through technology-driven solutions. The position focuses on developing and maintaining applications, automating data processes, and supporting business intelligence initiatives that enable accurate and timely reporting and analysis and enhance institutional planning, performance monitoring, and strategic outcomes. The role provides hands-on experience in programming, data integration, and analytics.
The Person we Seek
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related discipline with one (1) year of relevant work experience; or
- A diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering and three (3) years of relevant work experience; or
- A combination of relevant experience and/or education/training; with
- Strong foundation in programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, DAX, Java);
- Understanding of database design and data structures;
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and version control (e.g., Git);
- Experience with coding, debugging, and testing applications;
- Basic understanding of relational databases and ETL processes;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Remuneration
Salary Range:
- FJ $40,624.81 to FJ $49,381.15 per annum.
