The Opportunity

The Estates and Infrastructure Services is responsible for the management and strategic oversight of the University’s property, buildings and infrastructure at all campuses and centers throughout its 12 member countries. The sections responsibilities include Strategic Asset Management, Maintenance Services, Design and Project Management Services, as well as Occupational Health, Safety, Sustainability and DISMAC Services.

The Hub Coordinator Landscaping & Grounds Services responsible for the strategic oversight, coordination, and delivery of landscaping and grounds maintenance services across all USP campuses. Based at Laucala Campus, the role manages a team of officers at Laucala, Emalus (Vanuatu), and Alafua (Samoa), and works collaboratively with local campus maintenance coordinators and facilities teams to ensure consistent standards, sustainable / practices, and high-quality outdoor environments that support the university's academic, residential, and community functions. 

The Person we Seek

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • Bachelor's degree and postgraduate qualifications in Horticulture or Environmental Management or Facilities Management, or related field with minimum 4 years of relevant experience in grounds or landscaping operations and supervisory experience; or
  • Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or Environmental Management or Facilities Management, or related field with 7 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory role; or
  • Professional Qualification in Horticulture or Environmental Management Facilities or Management, or related field with Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in grounds or landscaping operations, including 5 years supervisory experience;
  • Strong coordination and team supervision skills;
  • Knowledge of landscaping techniques, plant care, irrigation systems, and grounds maintenance
  • Proficiency in reporting tools and asset management systems;
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.

The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.

Salary Range

  • FJ$61,627 to FJ$75,265 per annum
