Position Number/Title: LPT093-Facilitator, Solar Training
The Opportunity
The appointee will support the effective delivery, administration and continuous improvement of the Solar Energy programme. Responsibilities will include assisting with the planning and delivery of assigned courses, marking and moderating assessments, compiling results, maintaining marksheets, uploading learning materials to Moodle, maintaining academic records, and ensuring compliance with relevant quality requirements. The appointee will work closely with the Coordinator, Solar Energy, to ensure courses are delivered effectively and according to the semester schedule.
The appointee will also liaise with industry partners to facilitate students’ Workplace Attachment (WA) placements and strengthen industry engagement. As a member of the Pacific TAFE team, the appointee will contribute to programme marketing, student recruitment and promotion activities, working closely with the Programme Coordinator to grow the Solar Energy programme.
The Person we Seek
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- Completed Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Renewable Energy Fields or equivalent qualifications with at least 5 years practical experience relevant and tertiary teaching or training qualification in solar training; and
- Experience in TVET training, remote electrification system training or similar will be added advantage;
- Experience with grid connected PV system/ off grid PV systems/ battery storage systems;
- Must have a valid wiremen's license;
- Proficiency in information and communication technologies (ICT);
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Be a collaborative team player with a positive and professional attitude;
- Certificate IV in Training and assessment or a Training of trainer certificate from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning; and
- Knowledge and experience of competency-based training and assessment.
Enquiries and further information: The position is available for a term of 3 years and may be renewed based on funding availability.
Salary Range
- FJD $39,977 to FJD $47,281 per annum.
