The Opportunity
As a member of the Free Access to Law Movement, it is PacLII’s mission to make Pacific law accessible for free online, promoting transparency and strengthening the rule of law throughout the region.
The successful candidate will be based in Vanuatu Campus under the Pacific Islands Legal Information Institute (PacLII). Operating within the School of Law and Social Sciences (SoLaSS), PacLII provides a comprehensive and integrated system of public legal information from 20 Pacific Island jurisdictions, that is relied upon by a broad range of stakeholders.
The two Senior Editors at PacLII report to the Managing Editor. The Senior Editor - Legislation will be responsible for editorial operations ensuring all documents are published accurately and in a timely manner. The role provides leadership to the editorial team and supports strategic development of content acquisition.
The Person we Seek
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A degree from a relevant discipline; and
- Three (3) years of relevant experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience in managing a team and supervisory skills
- Commitment to accuracy and quality
- Experience in carrying out multiple activities within tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability in applying innovative and creative thinking to challenging situations
- Capable of working under pressure
- Excellent legal research skills
- Change oriented and flexible
- Familiarity of PacLII, embracing its values and vision as well as that of the principles guiding the Free Access to Law Movement.
- Citizenship of a USP member country.

The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
Salary Range
- VUV3,278,292 to VUV4,299,452 per annum
