The Opportunity
The Digital Integration Specialist – Finance is responsible for the design, optimization, integration, and ongoing evolution of USP’s financial information systems. Operating within a matrix accountability structure, the Digital Integration Specialist – Finance reports functionally to the Head of Digital Business Solutions while embedded in the Finance section to ensure solutions are practical, user-centred and aligned with business needs.
The role provides leadership in:
- Financial Systems & Integration – streamlining financial processes and ensuring interoperability with other enterprise systems to enable end-to-end process automation and reduce manual workarounds.
- User Capability & Change Management – supporting Finance staff across all campuses through training, change management and knowledge transfer to maximise the value of digital solutions.
- Data Integrity & Enterprise Reporting – enforcing data governance standards by safeguarding accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial data to strengthen institutional reporting, analytics capabilities for decision-making.
- Risk Management & Security – ensuring systems meet enterprise standards for compliance, reliability, and protection with proactive identification and mitigation of risks.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvements – leading enhancements, upgrades, and adoption of new technologies that improve efficiency, scalability and user experience in finance processes.
Specific Duties
Specific duties may include:
1.Integrated Systems Delivery
- Finance systems are fully interoperable with enterprise digital infrastructure, systems and applications in Learning/Teaching, HR, SAS, Planning and other platforms.
- Consistently high system uptime (99%) ensuring uninterrupted financial operations.
2.Data Quality & Reporting Excellence
- Financial data meets enterprise standards for accuracy, consistency and timeliness.
- Consolidated, enterprise-wide reporting is available for decision-making.
- Improved analytics capabilities supporting strategic planning and resource allocation.
3.Risk & Compliance Assurance
- Financial systems meet all compliance, audit, and security standards.
- Risks proactively identified, documented and mitigated.
- Clear evidence of controls and monitoring to safeguard financial information.
4.Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Regular delivery of system upgrades and enhancements aligned with enterprise priorities.
- Demonstrated efficiency gains through automation and process redesign.
- Adoption of innovative solutions that improve scalability and user experience.
5.Capability & Adoption Outcomes
- Finance staff trained and confident in using systems effectively.
- High adoption rates of new tools and processes across all sections and campuses.
- Positive user feedback on system usability and support.

The Person we Seek
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A degree and a postgraduate qualification from a relevant discipline; and
- Five (5) years of relevant experience and proven management expertise/experience in a similar position in a large multi-user environment.
- Should have in-depth knowledge of the finance systems and considerable expertise in database management, reports building and system enhancements
- Should have significant interpersonal contacts requiring independent professional judgment.
- Experience in Financial systems, SQL, Programming, and project management.
Desirable
- Preference will be given to applicants with working experience in a higher education setting, with demonstrable achievements in Finance enhancements.

The position is available for three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
Salary Range
- FJD 81,690.16 to FJD 100,073.95 per annum
