The Opportunity
The University of the South Pacific (USP) is the premier tertiary institution in the Pacific region. The Estates and Infrastructure Services is responsible for the management and strategic oversight of the University’s property, buildings and infrastructure at all campuses and centers throughout its 12 member countries. The sections responsibilities include Strategic Asset Management, Maintenance Services, Design and Project Management Services, as well as Occupational Health, Safety, Sustainability and DISMAC Services.
The Facilities Officer will work closely with local service providers, contractors, and campus stakeholders to ensure consistent service delivery aligned with USP standards. The role is operational in nature and supports strategic initiatives led by the Hub Coordinator. The position will be based at the Tonga Campus. The Person we Seek
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A diploma in the relevant Management, Business, Engineering or related field with 3 years of relevant experience in facilities operations; or
- A combination of relevant experience and/or education/training;
- Experience cleaning, hygiene, and waste services in large institutions;
- Practical knowledge of cleaning, pest control, and waste management;
- Basic coordination and reporting skills;
- Ability to work independently and follow service standards;
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement;
- Familiarity with Pacific region operational contexts is desirable.

The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
Salary Range
- TOP38,978 to TOP46,786 per annum
